Apprenticeship: Hands on the Future
Join us at the Westin Bayshore in beautiful Vancouver, British Columbia from June 5-7, 2016 for our national apprenticeship conference, Apprenticeship: Hands on the Future. The event promises exclusive access to and networking opportunities with key decision-makers in Canada’s apprenticeship community.
This popular, biennial event will highlight promising practices and innovative solutions in apprenticeship training. Apprenticeship is more than a way of teaching hands-on skills – it inspires partnership among employers, labour groups, educators, equity groups and governments to contribute to a shared objective. Focusing on collaborative projects and initiatives, the 2016 conference revolves around the work multiple stakeholder groups undertake together to improve apprenticeship outcomes. More than 500 delegates are expected to participate over three days.
Why you should consider attending
- Gather insights into innovative projects, initiatives and partnerships that stand to increase participation in apprenticeship training, particularly among under-represented groups
- Engage in collaborative solutions to address common challenges, including skills shortages, employer engagement and apprenticeship completion
- Connect with new ideas and perspectives to partner with others who share your passion so you can lead innovation in your community, trade or sector
