Two Day Apprenticeship Workshop
Innovations in Apprenticeship
Plan to join us on October 26 & 27 as CAF-FCA hosts Innovations in Apprenticeship at the Delta City Centre in Ottawa. This event will focus on alternate delivery of apprenticeship technical training, including how new approaches are accommodating under-represented groups. We want to discuss how apprenticeship training is adapting to technology trends and calls for diversity, while continuing to develop the highly-skilled tradespeople required by the Canadian economy. This will be 2017’s “can’t miss” apprenticeship event! Check out the draft agenda here.Register
2018 National Apprenticeship Conference
Mark your calendar – our next national conference scheduled on June 10-12, 2018 in Montréal, QC. CAF-FCA’s National Apprenticeship Conference will bring Canada’s apprenticeship community together to highlight promising practices and innovative solutions in apprenticeship training. More than 500 delegates are expected to participate over three days.
Delegate registration will open in January but, in the meantime, we invite you to consider other opportunities to get involved.
Call for Presenters
We invite interested speakers to submit a presentation abstract for the conference, which will bring Canada’s apprenticeship community together to highlight promising practices and innovative solutions in apprenticeship training. More than 500 delegates are expected to participate over three days.
The 2018 conference will highlight initiatives, programs and strategies that contribute to Canada’s world-class apprenticeship system. This requires an understanding of innovative approaches to training, workplace and mentoring initiatives, and the engagement of under-represented groups and youth. We invite members of the apprenticeship community to consider sharing their ideas, research or innovative approaches that stand to contribute to our ongoing conversation about apprenticeship as the best way to develop a highly skilled trades workforce.
The deadline for submissions is Friday, October 20, 2017. To learn more and to download the submission form click here.
Conference partners are essential to our event’s success and we ensure they’re highly visible throughout the conference! There are a number of opportunities available to showcase your organization and its commitment to apprenticeship training in Canada. The Call for Partners is available here. Top level partnerships are taken up quickly. To discuss any of these opportunities, contact Sarah Watts-Rynard at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Our national apprenticeship conference is also a great place to showcase your resources, tools and services. Year after year, exhibitors and delegates alike tell us the exhibit floor is a major success. With limited space available, we encourage those interested in exhibiting to apply early! Questions and applications should be directed to Shawn Watson at email@example.com.
