Careers in Trades Workshop for Youth

April 7, 2017 – BCIT

A career awareness workshop for Tackling Youth Unemployment has been organized for April 7th at BCIT from 9:00am to 3:00pm.  Participants will hear learn about apprenticeship and career opportunities in the skilled trades, tour the college’s training facilities and take part in group conversations.  Lunch will be provided and there is no cost to attend.  Groups welcome – contact us for more information.


Industry Engagement in Hiring & Retaining Aboriginal Apprentices

National Apprenticeship Survey – 2015 Results

Join us for a live web event on April 19th to learn about the most recent National Apprenticeship Survey, set to be released by Statistics Canada very soon.  The NAS aims to understand the factors and challenges that affect apprentices’ completion and certification across all provinces and territories.

We will welcome from Statistics Canada: Sylvie Grenier, Chief, Special Surveys in Education Section, Tourism and Centre for Education Statistics Division and Isabelle Thony, Manager, National Apprenticeship Survey, Tourism and Centre for Education Statistics Division who will provide an overview of the 2015 NAS results.
