The Canadian Apprenticeship Forum (CAF) is a national, non-profit organization that promotes apprenticeship training across Canada, shares best practices and supports apprentice success. Our partner is Apprenticesearch.com. Apprenticesearch.com is an online platform that connects individuals interested in the trades with employers and supports individuals through job coaching and other supports.
CAF and Apprenticesearch.com are interested in better understanding your journey in the trades. Our goal is to help apprentices, like yourself, progress in the trades and advance their careers. We want to know where apprentices are experiencing barriers and what supports would help. We would also like to invite you to be a part of the apprenticeship community.
CAF is surveying all apprentices who were hired as Level 1s as a part of the Canadian Apprenticeship Service Program from September 2022 to March 2024. It aims to use the findings from this study to influence future apprenticeship programs and policies.
Every individual who complete the survey will receive a $25 gift card to Tim Horton’s as a thank you for participating. Each participant will only receive 1 gift card and the entire survey must be completed. Cards will be emailed. It will take a couple of weeks to receive your gift card.
As an additional thank you for participating, you also have the chance to be entered into a draw to attend the Supporting Equity in Trades Conference in Toronto, Ontario from May 24 to May 26. This event is hosted by CAF and is a great opportunity to meet other tradespeople from across Canada.
Responses are confidential and will not impact your apprenticeship in any way. All responses will be permanently deleted in July 2025 when the study is complete. Your name will not be used in the final report. If you have any additional questions about this study, please email Emily Arrowsmith, Director of Research and Programs, at emily@caf-fca.org.
