2018 National Apprenticeship Conference
CAF-FCA is pleased to announce the Theme Partner for its next national conference, taking place June 10-12, 2018 in Montréal, QC. The Canadian Operating Engineers Joint Apprenticeship and Training Council (COEJATC) – a Canada-wide network of training institutions that conduct heavy equipment, crane, and safety training – will be the lead sponsor at the biennial event geared to connecting Canada’s apprenticeship stakeholders.
The Prestige Partner for the upcoming national conference, taking place June 10-12, 2018 in Montréal, QC has also been secured. The Labourers’ International Union of North America (LiUNA) – a progressive and fast growing union of construction workers, waste management workers, show service workers and healthcare workers in Canada – is a CAF-FCA Champion member and the exclusive sponsor at this level at the biennial event geared to connecting Canada’s apprenticeship stakeholders.
This popular biennial event attracts more than 500 apprenticeship stakeholders to sessions that highlight promising practices and innovative solutions related to apprenticeship training.
The 2016 edition, Apprenticeship: Hands on the Future included an exhibitor trade show, more than sixty speakers and an interactive session on the Future of Apprenticeship in Canada, which will inform an action plan on the big issues surrounding apprenticeship training.
Delegates attend to:
• Gather insights into innovative projects, initiatives and partnerships that stand to increase participation in apprenticeship training, particularly among under-represented groups
• Engage in collaborative solutions to address common challenges, including skills shortages, employer engagement and apprenticeship completion
• Connect with new ideas and perspectives to partner with others who share your passion so you can lead innovation in your community, trade or sector
Delegate registration opens in January. In the meantime, consider these other opportunities to get involved.
