The Canadian Apprenticeship Forum (CAF-FCA) and CIBC are partnering on a national research initiative to better understand the financial challenges apprentices face while completing their training.

From transportation and tools to housing, childcare, travel, and time away from work during technical training, the costs associated with apprenticeship can create barriers to progression and completion. Through this research, we aim to better understand these realities and identify opportunities to support apprentices and trades professionals across Canada.

Who Can Participate?

We are seeking input from:

  • Current apprentices
  • Certified trades professionals
  • Participants from all regions of Canada and all skilled trades sectors

We are committed to capturing a broad range of experiences and perspectives to ensure the research reflects the diversity of Canada’s skilled trades workforce.
