Parent Perceptions of Careers in the Skilled Trades: Insights from Alberta Parents
This report summarizes parent perceptions of careers in the skilled trades. Themes addressed include knowledge about apprenticeship training and the skilled trades, the likelihood of recommending a career in the skilled trades, preferred post-secondary pathways and characteristics of desirable careers. Parents gave their opinions about skilled trades careers and tradespeople. Parents also recommended the kinds of supports they needed.
