While apprentices are paid wages at work and are often eligible to receive Employment Insurance benefits during technical training, extra financial support may be required. In addition to wages, there are grants, scholarships, and other financial supports available.

Funding Assistance for First Nations Bands of Manitoba Metis Federation

Indigenous individuals may receive help covering the costs of travel, tuition, books, emergencies and living away from home expenses. To be eligible, the individual must be Métis, non-status or Inuit and have lived in the region for six months.
