Join us for an important conversation exploring Indigenous Peoples’ experiences, pathways, and barriers in the skilled trades. This session shares findings from recent CAF-FCA research conducted in partnership with the Southern First Nations Secretariat, highlighting insights from apprentices, trades professionals, community partners, and training organizations.
GUEST SPEAKERS:

Dr. Ashley Sisco
Dr. Ashley Sisco is a settler consultant, educator, and business leader committed to working in allyship with Indigenous communities and equity-denied groups. She is the Founder and CEO of Sisco & Associates Consulting Services (SISCO), a majority women- and Indigenous-operated consulting firm specializing in community-driven research and impact.
Ashley also teaches in the Management and Organizational Studies program at Huron University College and Western University’s Faculty of Education, where she integrates decolonial and equity-focused approaches into entrepreneurship and education.
She has led projects across Canada, Latin America, Australia, and Chile, and serves on the London Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors. Her work centres relational accountability, inclusive leadership, and community-informed change.

Corall McNickle
Corall McNickle is an Anishinaabe Research Associate from Aamjiwnaang First Nation with expertise in Indigenous-led research and community-based initiatives. At SISCO & Associates Consulting Inc., she supports projects related to governance, policy development, community planning, and capacity building.
Corall brings strong analytical skills, culturally grounded engagement experience, and a commitment to research that centres First Nations perspectives. She excels at synthesizing complex information into clear, practical tools and recommendations that reflect community priorities and support Indigenous self-determination.
