CAF-FCA, in partnership with Irving Shipbuilding, Unifor MWF Local 1 and the Virtual Learning Strategy Program (VLS), will provide holistic supports for apprentices in the shipbuilding sector. The partners will achieve this through workplace coaching, skills enhancements, and VLS interventions such as assessments, assistive technology, and development of a customized learning plan to provide learning strategies and resources, tutoring, and accommodation support. Best practices will be shared and distributed across Canada, allowing multiple regions and trades to benefit from the insights gained.
